Originally constructed in 1865 along the New River in southwestern Virginia, the cabin was moved to the Doe Run Groundhog Mountain Resort Complex and renovated with the additions of a kitchen and a bathroom with Jacuzzi, shower stall and period plumbing fixtures and a new metal roof.
It is located adjoining the tennis court complex and faces the pastoral, spring-fed Mill Pond, the Mill Pond Hideaway with its water wheel and sluice and the tennis courts and picturesque community center.
Water and sewer are connected and administered by the on-site Virginia-regulated Groundhog Mountain Water & Sewer Company, Inc.
The Cabin is a part of the association known as Groundhog Mountain Property Owners, Inc.
The Log Cabin is considered investment income property and is currently enrolled in the rental program administered by Doe Run Lodging at Groundhog Mountain located nearby. www.doerunlodging.com, info@doerunlodging.com
